Last Saturday we were blown away to see Killarney highlighted as N#1 Destination at the Reader Travel Awards.
In words of Pól Ó Conghaile "Co Kerry is a standout example of working the challenges to its advantage, providing not just your number one Irish holiday this year, but your favourite hotel, B&B and Irish breakfast. We also see evolutionary leaps in the quality of camping, cabins and walking trails."
Since we are a small family business and we are usually juggling between day to day production, business opening hours and social media creation it was not until later that day that we suspected there was something else going on, when Experience Kerry tagged us on a post we knew we needed to get the magazine on paper.
We ran to purchase a copy just to discover that Tango Street Food had been featured in the article dedicated to Killarney.
We can't express in words how proud we felt, we were literally blown away! After four years living in Ireland, the country we chose to raise our children and only after one year and a half of starting our food business, to be already praised in this way is truly one of the amazing characteristics of Irish welcoming people and the recognition to local businesses.
In the words of Karen Coakley "since covid, there is a new and exciting food scene, which is already adding to the appeal. Everyone in Killarney works so hard, it's a machine, and during covid the standard never dropped. Everyone was consistently pushing to be better"
Congratulations to everyone in Killarney. A great write up for the town and thrilled to be listed. Not to mention it is rewarding to see the city thriving after some hard couple of years, resiliency at its best!
